Ingredients

  • 1/2 a pack of chocolate digestives
  • 1tbsp of low fat spread
  • 1 tbsp of honey (for lower fat version) or syrup
  • 1/2 a tub of low fat soft cheese
  • 1/2 a bar of white chocolate
  • 1/4 pint of semi skimmed milk - to be indulgent use low fat cream
  • 1 pack of angel delight
  • Optional - a tbsp of baileys (not suitable if making for children)

This delicious sweet, I have made for so many people and ask them every time if they can work out the secret ingredient - and the answer is always NO! If you don't like angel delight, don't ignore this recipe, It doesn't taste like angel delight, this is a recipe that everyone will love! Just double up the recipe for more people

Cooking Steps

    Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20 second bursts, white chocolate can be temperamental so keep stirring between each burst
  • 2
    add cream cheese, angel delight, milk or cream and white chocolate, baileys if using to a bowl and whisk, either by hand or with hand held whisk until smooth
  • 3
    Crush your digestives either in a plastic bag by bashing with a rolling pin or in a processor to create a smooth crumb

    Add your butter, syrup to a pan and on a low heat melt, take off the heat then tip in the crushed digestives and mix with wooden spoon until combined

    Press the digestives into a small square or round tin until flat and smooth
  • 6
    Top with your Angel delight mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour or put in the freezer for 15 mins

    Ready to eat and indulge you can decorate with sprinkles for children or just for fun!
