Chilli con carne

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo minced steak (5% and below, cheaper from your butcher)
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 4 carrots either grated or finely diced so they dissolve
  • 2 blocks of Bovril cubes or beef stock cubes
  • 1 cup of red wine (optional)
  • 1 tbsp of mixed herbs
  • 1 tablespoon of cheap tomato ketchup or your famous brand (whatever)
  • 2 tablespoons of Bisto gravy POWDER
  • 1/2 a cup of water to mix your gravy powder

Batch-cooked minced steak and gravy is prepared by browning lean minced steak in a large pan, with onions, chopped onions, chopped carrots and seasonings, then simmering it in a rich beef gravy until tender. It’s made in a large quantity for multiple meals, with a thick, savoury gravy that coats the tender pieces of minced steak.

Cooking Steps

    Chuck all the ingredients in a pan or in your Multicooker, cover with water season with salt and pepper, using the pressure cooker mode cook for 10 mins. Using a pan cover with water and cook for 1 hour

    Put two tablespoons of Bisto Powder in a cup add 1/2 a cup of freezing cold water and mix to a paste, add to your BOILING meat (it must be boiling!!!) and stir vigorously once the meat boils your meat is ready to create any delicious dish!
