Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken breasts cut into strips try cut into even sizes
  • 200g of breadcrumbs, crushed cornflakes, crisps or flavoured nachos
  • 1tbsp of smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp of onion granules
  • 1 tbsp of dried garlic powder
  • 1/4 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper - you can use more if you like spice
  • 1 tbsp of italian mixed herbs
  • 1 egg whisked in a bowl
  • 2 tbsp of flour seasoned with salt and cracked black pepper

Top Tips

Tip – You can use anything in your store cupboard to coat these goujons – crushed cornflakes, crushed crisps, crushed crackers or nachos. Everyone of these coatings add a new twist to your chicken goujons!!!.

Cooking Steps

    Mix breadcrumbs, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, mixed herbs , salt and pepper to taste in a bowl

    put your seasoned flour into a bowl

    Dip your. chicken goujons individually into the flour then the egg then toss and turn in your breadcrumbs until fully coated - try to use one hand for the wet ingredients and one for the wet then you will not get full of the mixture! as you go pop them on a plate

    Line your air fryer with baking paper or an air fryer liner and pop your chicken breast goujons onto the paper trying not to overcrowd your air fryer then air fry for between 15 minutes and 20 minutes turning 1/2 way through. You will know they are cooked once golden however, I always do the cut check to see if they are cooked all way through

    served on a wrap with freshly cut salad and sauce of your choice or just as chicken dippers they are juicy and delicious
