Beef Brisket Meltdown

Ingredients

  • The cheapest piece of roast beef you can find. - I use my local butcher supplier however, Lidle and Asda are usually the cheapest for buying pieces of beef
  • 2 Bovril cubes - you can find in any local supermarket
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of traditional Bisto gravy powder - this is not instant gravy powder do not buy this - it is Bisto gravy powder
  • Water

Shredded beef can be used in so many recipes and is so cheap! – Cottage pie, shredded beef pie, flavour it will chilli to create a beef chilli for beef tacos, steak puddings and so much more

Roast beef slow cooked in a rich traditional gravy that can be used in a variety of recipes. It is delicious and definitely addictive!!!!!

Cooking Steps

    Cut the piece of beef into chunks removing all fat (optional)

    Place in your Ninaj multi-cooker, pan or slow cooker
  • 3
    Add you cubes and cover with water seasoning the water
  • 4
    If you are using a slow cooker be careful of overfilling with water as it will be become very watery.

    Cook in multi-cooker on pressure for 50mins. Slow Cooker, 4 hours plus on low and 2.5 hours in a pan

    This is a very important step - put two tablespoons of Bisto Powder into a cup and fill with freezing cold water to half of the cup, mix well!

    Make sure your meat is boiling and add the bisto mix, stir vigorously until it reaches boiling point - Using a potato masher shred your beef brisket and enjoy

    This can be turned into pies, chilli, puddings, sandwiches and much more, it is so versatile and so easy to make!!
