Using your Combi-bake function on your Ninja Combi Oven

When I first bought my Ninja Combi Oven, the main reason was to bake cakes so that I didn’t have the expense of using my oven.  On reading the instructions, I was shocked that on the Combi-bake function, steam was used first to bake a cake.  I bought a Betty Crocker cake mix and gave it a go, not expecting a very good outcome.  After 40mins, I was shocked to find that it had baked the lightest and most fluffy sponge cake ever, my customers rave about how light my cakes are and it is all down to the combi bake function on my NInja Combi Multi-Cooker.  I also use this function for light, crisp and fluffy homemade dumplings for stews and casseroles

To use the Combi Bake function on your Ninja Combi Multi-Cooker, first add water to the Combi Pan as specified in your recipe. Place your prepared batter or dough onto the Crisper Plate or a standard baking accessory within the Combi Pan. Set the SmartSwitch to ‘COMBI COOKER’, select ‘COMBI BAKE’, and adjust the time and temperature according to your recipe. The unit will generate steam for approximately 20 minutes before baking; avoid opening the door during this preheat phase. I always put in 240ml of water to the crisper plate and set the temp to 160 degrees and 25 mins cooking time but always check it after 20mins without the cake collapsing.
