Ingredients

  • 500grams of lean minced steak
  • a box of cannelloni shells
  • 1 chopped pepper
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 bovril cube
  • 2 tbsp of italian dried herbs or fresh chopped basil, rosemary and oregano (this really does make a difference to the taste if you use fresh)
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp of garlic puree or 3 chopped fresh garlic cloves (this all depends on taste)
  • 1 tub of low fat cheese (garlic cheese really elevates the taste)
  • 1 tbsp of fresh or dried herbs
  • 2 tbsp of skimmed milk
  • 1 tbsp of garlic puree

Cooking Steps

    Put mince, chopped tomatoes, onion, pepper, 2tbsp of herbs, 1 bovril cube and 2tbsp of garlic puree into a pan and cook for 50mins
  • 2
    In a pan heat your cheese, garlic puree and 1 tbsp of dried or fresh herbs and stir until melted, thick and delicious add plenty of pepper

    In oven proof dish, fill your cannelloni tubes with the mince standing them up in the dish so that you are protecting the filling from splurging out of the bottom,

    You are going to fill all your cannelloni and fit them snug in you dish, in between each layer, spread your cheese sauce and finish with cheese sauce

    Cover with tin foil, air fry on bake function or oven bake on 180 degrees for 20 mins then remove your foil and cook for a further 10 mins

    Once golden and bubbling dish up, serve with fresh salad and garlic cheese flatbreads
